# §130101. Organization

- (a) **Federal Charter.—** Ladies of the Grand Army of the Republic (in this chapter, the “[corporation](/usc/36/220501.md?p=b-7)”) is a federally chartered [corporation](/usc/36/220501.md?p=b-7).
- (b) **Place of Incorporation and Domicile.—** The [corporation](/usc/36/220501.md?p=b-7) is declared to be incorporated and domiciled in the District of Columbia.
- (c) **Perpetual Existence.—** Except as otherwise provided, the [corporation](/usc/36/220501.md?p=b-7) has perpetual existence.
