# §50331. Congressional Badge of Bravery Office

- (a) **Establishment—** There is established within the Department of Justice a Congressional Badge of Bravery [Office](/usc/34/50301.md?p=6).
- (b) **Duties—** The [Office](/usc/34/50301.md?p=6) shall—
  - (1) receive nominations from [Federal agency heads](/usc/34/50301.md?p=1) on behalf of the [Federal Board](/usc/34/50301.md?p=2) and deliver such nominations to the [Federal Board](/usc/34/50301.md?p=2) at [Federal Board](/usc/34/50301.md?p=2) meetings described in [section 50313(d)(2) of this title](/usc/34/50313.md?p=d-2);
  - (2) receive nominations from [State or local agency heads](/usc/34/50301.md?p=10) on behalf of the [State and Local Board](/usc/34/50301.md?p=7) and deliver such nominations to the [State and Local Board](/usc/34/50301.md?p=7) at [State and Local Board](/usc/34/50301.md?p=7) meetings described in [section 50323(d)(2) of this title](/usc/34/50323.md?p=d-2); and
  - (3) provide staff support to the [Federal Board](/usc/34/50301.md?p=2) and the [State and Local Board](/usc/34/50301.md?p=7) to carry out the duties described in [section 50313(b)](/usc/34/50313.md?p=b) and [section 50323(b) of this title](/usc/34/50323.md?p=b), respectively.
