# §21306. Period of increase

- (a) **In general—** The Attorney General shall provide an increase in the amount provided to a [State](/usc/34/21701.md?p=3) under the [covered formula grants](/usc/34/21301.md?p=1) under this chapter for a 2-year period.
- (b) **Limit—** The Attorney General may not provide an increase in the amount provided to a [State](/usc/34/21701.md?p=3) under the [covered formula grants](/usc/34/21301.md?p=1) under this chapter more than 4 times.
