# §12373. Cooperation in developing programs in making grants under this part


The [State](/usc/34/11103.md?p=7) Justice Institute shall ensure that model programs carried out pursuant to grants made under this part are developed with the participation of [law enforcement](/usc/34/12291.md?p=a-23) officials, public and private nonprofit [victim advocates](/usc/34/12291.md?p=a-48), including national, [State](/usc/34/11103.md?p=7), tribal, and local [domestic violence](/usc/34/12291.md?p=a-12) and [sexual assault](/usc/34/12291.md?p=a-35) programs and coalitions, legal experts, prosecutors, defense attorneys, and recognized experts on gender bias in the [courts](/usc/34/12291.md?p=a-7).
