# §12252. Eligibility to receive grants


To be eligible to receive a grant under [section 12251 of this title](/usc/34/12251.md), a [State](/usc/34/11103.md?p=7) shall submit to the [Attorney General](/usc/34/10307.md?p=1) an application at such time, in such form, and containing such information as the [Attorney General](/usc/34/10307.md?p=1) reasonably may require by rule.
