Section 763 consisted mostly of provisions from section 6 of act June 20, 1918, as amended, with one additional proviso from act Nov. 4, 1918, and was restated at former section 2532 of Title 14, Coast Guard. Section 6 of act June 20, 1918, was repealed by Pub. L. 116–283, div. G, title LVXXXV [LXXXV], § 8510(a), Jan. 1, 2021, 134 Stat. 4757. The proviso from act Nov. 4, 1918, was repealed by Pub. L. 117–263, div. K, title CXVIII, § 11808(a)(13), Dec. 23, 2022, 136 Stat. 4165.
