# §702a–1a. Further modification of 1927 project; adoption; appropriation


In accordance with the recommendations of the Chief of Engineers, as set forth in his report of April 6, 1937, and published as Flood Control [Committee](/usc/33/3301.md?p=3) Document Numbered 1, Seventy-fifth Congress, first session, paragraph 38(b), except subparagraph (1), the project for flood control of the Lower Mississippi River adopted by sections [642a](/usc/33/642a.md), [702a](/usc/33/702a.md), [702a–1](/usc/33/702a–1.md), [702a–2](/usc/33/702a–2.md) to [702d](/usc/33/702d.md), [702e](/usc/33/702e.md) to [702h](/usc/33/702h.md), [702i](/usc/33/702i.md) to [702m](/usc/33/702m.md), and [704](/usc/33/704.md) of this title, is modified and, as modified, is adopted, and there is authorized to be appropriated in addition to the sums previously authorized $40,000,000 to be applied for the purposes set forth in said document covering the said recommendations, with the exceptions mentioned, subject to the provisions made in [section 702a–11 of this title](/usc/33/702a–11.md).
