# §2737. Limitation


Notwithstanding any other law, [tank vessels](/usc/33/2701.md?p=34) that have spilled more than 1,000,000 gallons of [oil](/usc/33/2701.md?p=23) into the marine environment after March 22, 1989, are prohibited from operating on the [navigable waters](/usc/33/2701.md?p=21) of Prince William Sound, Alaska.
