# §1971. Definitions


In this subchapter:

- (1) **Prize competition—** The term “prize competition” means the competition for the award of the Genius Prize for Save Our Seas Innovations established under [section 1972 of this title](/usc/33/1972.md).
- (2) **Secretary—** The term “Secretary” means the Secretary of Commerce.
