# §7110. Use of joint financing provisions for Federal-State assisted projects


Under regulations prescribed by the President, the head of an executive [agency](/usc/31/6401.md?p=1) may make an agreement with a [State](/usc/31/6201.md?p=2) to extend the benefits of this chapter to a [project](/usc/31/7102.md?p=4) involving [assistance](/usc/31/6501.md?p=1) from at least one executive [agency](/usc/31/6401.md?p=1) and at least one [State](/usc/31/6201.md?p=2) [agency](/usc/31/6401.md?p=1). The agreement may include arrangements to process requests or administer [assistance](/usc/31/6501.md?p=1) on a joint basis.
