# §1720. Criminal penalties


Any [person](/usc/30/1702.md?p=12) who commits an act for which a civil [penalty](/usc/30/1702.md?p=29) is provided in [section 1719(d) of this title](/usc/30/1719.md?p=d) shall, upon conviction, be punished by a fine of not more than $50,000, or by imprisonment for not more than 2 years, or both.
