# §1714. Deposit of royalty funds to Indian accounts


Deposits of any [royalty](/usc/30/1702.md?p=14) funds derived from the [production](/usc/30/1702.md?p=13) of [oil or gas](/usc/30/1702.md?p=9) from, or allocated to, [Indian lands](/usc/30/1702.md?p=3) shall be made by the [Secretary](/usc/30/1702.md?p=15) to the appropriate Indian account at the earliest practicable date after such funds are received by the [Secretary](/usc/30/1702.md?p=15) but in no case later than the last business day of the month in which such funds are received.
