# §1414. License and permit fees


No application for the issuance or transfer of a license for [exploration](/usc/30/1403.md?p=5) or permit for [commercial recovery](/usc/30/1403.md?p=1) shall be certified unless the applicant pays to the [Administrator](/usc/30/1403.md?p=12) a reasonable administrative fee which shall be deposited into miscellaneous receipts of the Treasury. The amount of the administrative fee imposed by the [Administrator](/usc/30/1403.md?p=12) on any applicant shall reflect the reasonable administrative costs incurred in reviewing and processing the application.
