# §7. Meeting and vote of electors


The electors of President and Vice President of each [State](/usc/3/21.md?p=2) shall meet and give their votes on the first Tuesday after the second Wednesday in December next following their appointment at such place in each [State](/usc/3/21.md?p=2) in accordance with the laws of the [State](/usc/3/21.md?p=2) enacted prior to [election day](/usc/3/21.md?p=1).
