# §664. Disclosure of trade secrets; protective orders


All information reported to or otherwise obtained by the [Secretary](/usc/29/652.md?p=1) or his representative in connection with any inspection or proceeding under this chapter which contains or which might reveal a trade secret referred to in [section 1905 of title 18](/usc/18/1905.md) shall be considered confidential for the purpose of that section, except that such information may be disclosed to other officers or [employees](/usc/29/652.md?p=6) concerned with carrying out this chapter or when relevant in any proceeding under this chapter. In any such proceeding the [Secretary](/usc/29/652.md?p=1), the [Commission](/usc/29/652.md?p=2), or the court shall issue such orders as may be appropriate to protect the confidentiality of trade secrets.
