# §1871. State laws and regulations


This chapter is intended to supplement [State](/usc/29/1802.md?p=12) law, and compliance with this chapter shall not excuse any [person](/usc/29/1802.md?p=9) from compliance with appropriate [State](/usc/29/1802.md?p=12) law and regulation.
