# §216. Preemption


No statement relating to [alcoholic beverages](/usc/27/214.md?p=1) and [health](/usc/27/214.md?p=6), other than the statement required by [section 215 of this title](/usc/27/215.md), shall be required under [State law](/usc/27/214.md?p=11) to be placed on any [container](/usc/27/214.md?p=5) of an [alcoholic beverage](/usc/27/214.md?p=1), or on any box, carton, or other package, irrespective of the material from which made, that contains such a [container](/usc/27/214.md?p=5).
