# §2807. Uniform allowance


Notwithstanding the limitation in [section 5901(a) of title 5](/usc/5/5901.md?p=a), the [Secretary](/usc/25/2801.md?p=8) may provide a uniform allowance for uniformed law enforcement officers under [section 2803 of this title](/usc/25/2803.md) of not more than $400 a year.
