# §1678. Arizona as contract health service delivery area

- (a) **In general—** The State of Arizona shall be designated as a [contract health service](/usc/25/1603.md?p=5) delivery area by the [Service](/usc/25/1603.md?p=18) for the purpose of providing contract health care [services](/usc/25/1603.md?p=18) to members of [Indian tribes](/usc/25/1603.md?p=14) in the State of Arizona.
- (b) **Maintenance of services—** The [Service](/usc/25/1603.md?p=18) shall not curtail any health care [services](/usc/25/1603.md?p=18) provided to [Indians](/usc/25/1603.md?p=13) residing on [reservations](/usc/25/1603.md?p=16-A) in the State of Arizona if the curtailment is due to the provision of contract [services](/usc/25/1603.md?p=18) in that State pursuant to the designation of the State as a [contract health service](/usc/25/1603.md?p=5) delivery area by [subsection (a)](#a).
