# §1660i. Deeming an Urban Indian organization and employees thereof to be a part of the public health service for the purposes of certain claims for personal injury


[Section 5321(d) of this title](/usc/25/5321.md?p=d) shall apply—

- (1) to an [Urban Indian organization](/usc/25/1603.md?p=29) to the same extent and in the same manner as such section applies to an [Indian tribe](/usc/25/1603.md?p=14), a [tribal organization](/usc/25/1603.md?p=26), and an [Indian](/usc/25/1603.md?p=13) contractor; and
- (2) to the employees of an [Urban Indian organization](/usc/25/1603.md?p=29) to the same extent and in the same manner as such section applies to employees of an [Indian tribe](/usc/25/1603.md?p=14), a [tribal organization](/usc/25/1603.md?p=26), or an [Indian](/usc/25/1603.md?p=13) contractor.
