# §1646. Authorization for emergency contract health services


With respect to an elderly or disabled [Indian](/usc/25/1603.md?p=13) receiving emergency medical care or [services](/usc/25/1603.md?p=18) from a non-[Service](/usc/25/1603.md?p=18) provider or in a non-[Service](/usc/25/1603.md?p=18) facility under the authority of this chapter, the time limitation (as a condition of payment) for notifying the [Service](/usc/25/1603.md?p=18) of such treatment or admission shall be 30 days.
