# §321. Signs identifying funding sources


If a [State](/usc/23/101.md?p=a-28) has a practice of erecting on [projects](/usc/23/101.md?p=a-20) under actual [construction](/usc/23/101.md?p=a-4) without [Federal-aid highway](/usc/23/101.md?p=a-6) assistance signs which indicate the source or sources of any funds used to carry out such [projects](/usc/23/101.md?p=a-20), such [State](/usc/23/101.md?p=a-28) shall erect on all [projects](/usc/23/101.md?p=a-20) under actual [construction](/usc/23/101.md?p=a-4) with any funds made available out of the [Highway](/usc/23/101.md?p=a-11) Trust Fund (other than the Mass Transit Account) signs which are visible to [highway](/usc/23/101.md?p=a-11) users and which indicate each governmental source of funds being used to carry out such federally assisted [projects](/usc/23/101.md?p=a-20) and the amount of funds being made available by each such source.
