# §6982. Administrative authorities


In carrying out the programs authorized by [section 6981 of this title](/usc/22/6981.md), the [Secretary](/usc/22/277d–43.md?p=5) of Commerce and the [Secretary](/usc/22/277d–43.md?p=5) of Labor (in consultation with the Secretary of State) may utilize any of the authorities contained in the Foreign Assistance Act of 1961 [[22 U.S.C. 2151](/usc/22/2151.md) et seq.] and the Foreign Service Act of 1980 [[22 U.S.C. 3901](/usc/22/3901.md) et seq.].
