# §6951. Report on compliance

- (a) **In general—** Not later than 1 year after the entry into force of the Protocol of Accession of the People’s Republic of China to the [WTO](/usc/22/6903.md?p=5), and annually thereafter, the [Trade Representative](/usc/22/6903.md?p=4) shall submit a report to Congress on compliance by the People’s Republic of China with commitments made in connection with its accession to the [World Trade Organization](/usc/22/6903.md?p=5), including both multilateral commitments and any bilateral commitments made to the United States.
- (b) **Public participation—** In preparing the report described in [subsection (a)](#a), the [Trade Representative](/usc/22/6903.md?p=4) shall seek public participation by publishing a notice in the Federal Register and holding a public hearing.
