# §4158. Authority of other agencies


The heads of [agencies](/usc/22/3902.md?p=2) other than the Department of State which utilize the Foreign Service personnel [system](/usc/22/4071a.md?p=10) shall perform [functions](/usc/22/3902.md?p=6) under this subchapter in accordance with regulations prescribed by the Secretary of State under [section 4157 of this title](/usc/22/4157.md). Such [agency](/usc/22/3902.md?p=2) heads shall consult with the Secretary of State in the exercise of such [functions](/usc/22/3902.md?p=6).
