# §4088. Education allowance


A [Department](/usc/22/3902.md?p=4) or United States [Agency](/usc/22/3902.md?p=2) for International Development employee who is on leave to perform service in the uniformed services (as defined in [section 4303(13) of title 38](/usc/38/4303.md?p=13)) may receive an education allowance if the employee would, if not for such service, be eligible to receive the education allowance.
