# §3923. Compatibility among agencies utilizing Foreign Service personnel system

- (a) The Service shall be administered to the extent practicable in a manner that will assure maximum compatibility among the [agencies](/usc/22/3902.md?p=2) authorized by law to utilize the Foreign Service personnel [system](/usc/22/4071a.md?p=10). To this end, the other heads of such [agencies](/usc/22/3902.md?p=2) shall consult regularly with the Secretary of State.
- (b) Nothing in this subchapter shall be construed as diminishing the authority of the head of any [agency](/usc/22/3902.md?p=2) authorized by law to utilize the Foreign Service personnel [system](/usc/22/4071a.md?p=10).
