# §2797b–2. Authority relating to MTCR adherents


Notwithstanding [section 2797b(b) of this title](/usc/22/2797b.md?p=b), the President may take the actions under [section 2797b(a)(2) of this title](/usc/22/2797b.md?p=a-2) under the circumstances described in [section 2797c(b)(2) of this title](/usc/22/2797c.md?p=b-2).
