# §2676. Contracts in foreign countries


The Secretary of State is authorized to enter into contracts in [foreign countries](/usc/22/2321c.md?p=2) involving expenditures from funds appropriated or otherwise made available to the Department of State, without regard to the provisions of [section 6306 of title 41](/usc/41/6306.md): Provided, That nothing in this section shall be construed to waive the provisions of [section 431 of title 18](/usc/18/431.md).
