# §2655c. Bureau of Educational and Cultural Affairs

- (a) **Establishment—** There shall be in the Department a Bureau of Educational and Cultural Affairs described in [section 2460 of title 22](/usc/22/2460.md), which shall be responsible for the functions described in such section and such other relevant functions related to academic, cultural, and professional exchanges as the Under [Secretary](/usc/22/277d–43.md?p=5) for Public Diplomacy may prescribe.
- (b) **Head of Bureau—** The Assistant [Secretary](/usc/22/277d–43.md?p=5) for Educational and Cultural Affairs shall be the head of the Bureau of Educational and Cultural Affairs.
