# §263. International Prison Commission


The United States shall continue as an adhering member of the International Prison [Commission](/usc/22/277d–43.md?p=2) and participate in the work of said [commission](/usc/22/277d–43.md?p=2).

The [Secretary](/usc/22/277d–43.md?p=5) of the Treasury be, and he is hereby, authorized annually to pay the pro rata share of the United States in the administration expenses of the International Prison [Commission](/usc/22/277d–43.md?p=2) and the necessary expenses of a commissioner to represent the United States on said [commission](/usc/22/277d–43.md?p=2) at its annual meetings, together with necessary clerical and other expenses, out of any money which shall be appropriated for such purposes from time to time by Congress.
