# §2321c. Definitions


For purposes of sections [2321b](/usc/22/2321b.md) and [2314a](/usc/22/2314a.md)[^1] of this title—

- (1) “[defense article](/usc/22/2403.md?p=d)” and “[excess defense articles](/usc/22/2403.md?p=g)” have the same meanings as given them in subsections (d) and (g), respectively, of [section 2403 of this title](/usc/22/2403.md); and
- (2) “foreign country” includes any department, agency, or independent establishment of the foreign country.
