# §2296f. Definitions


In this part:

- (1) **Appropriate congressional committees—** The term “[appropriate congressional committees](/usc/22/2291.md?p=e-8)” means the Committee on Foreign Relations of the Senate and the Committee on International Relations of the House of Representatives.
- (2) **Countries of the South Caucasus and Central Asia—** The term “countries of the South Caucasus and Central Asia” means Armenia, Azerbaijan, Georgia, Kazakstan, Kyrgyzstan, Tajikistan, Turkmenistan, and Uzbekistan.
