# §976. Authorization of appropriations


There are hereby authorized to be appropriated such sums as may be necessary (1) to enable the Council to carry out its functions under this chapter, and (2) to pay claims certified pursuant to [section 975(b) of this title](/usc/20/975.md?p=b).
