# §9606. Priorities


The [Secretary](/usc/20/9501.md?p=21) shall establish priorities for the regional educational laboratories (established under [section 9564 of this title](/usc/20/9564.md)) and [comprehensive centers](/usc/20/9501.md?p=6) (established under [section 9602 of this title](/usc/20/9602.md)) to address, taking onto account the regional assessments conducted under [section 9605 of this title](/usc/20/9605.md) and other relevant regional surveys of educational needs, to the extent the [Secretary](/usc/20/9501.md?p=21) deems appropriate.
