# §9571. Interagency data sources and formats


The [Secretary](/usc/20/9501.md?p=21), in consultation with the [Director](/usc/20/9501.md?p=9), shall ensure that the [Department](/usc/20/9501.md?p=7) and the [Institute](/usc/20/9501.md?p=14) use common sources of data in standardized formats.
