# §9411. Local allocations

- (a) **In general—** The Lead [State](/usc/20/9402.md?p=12) Agency shall allocate to [Local Councils](/usc/20/9402.md?p=6) in the [State](/usc/20/9402.md?p=12) not less than 93 percent of the funds provided to the [State](/usc/20/9402.md?p=12) under this chapter for a fiscal year.
- (b) **Limitation—** The Lead [State](/usc/20/9402.md?p=12) Agency shall allocate funds provided under this chapter on the basis of the population of the [locality](/usc/20/9402.md?p=7) served by the [Local Council](/usc/20/9402.md?p=6).
