# §7843. Consolidated reporting

- (a) **In general—** In order to simplify reporting requirements and reduce reporting burdens, the [Secretary](/usc/20/7801.md?p=46) shall establish procedures and criteria under which a [State educational agency](/usc/20/7801.md?p=49), in consultation with the Governor of the [State](/usc/20/7171.md?p=b-6), may submit a consolidated [State](/usc/20/7171.md?p=b-6) annual report.
- (b) **Contents—** The report shall contain information about the programs included in the report, including the performance of the [State](/usc/20/7171.md?p=b-6) under those programs, and other matters as the [Secretary](/usc/20/7801.md?p=46) determines are necessary, such as monitoring activities.
- (c) **Replacement—** The report shall replace separate individual annual reports for the programs included in the consolidated [State](/usc/20/7171.md?p=b-6) annual report.
