# §6846. Legal authority under State law


Nothing in this part shall be construed to negate or supersede [State](/usc/20/6602.md?p=2) law, or the legal authority under [State](/usc/20/6602.md?p=2) law of any [State](/usc/20/6602.md?p=2) agency, [State](/usc/20/6602.md?p=2) entity, or [State](/usc/20/6602.md?p=2) public official, over programs that are under the jurisdiction of the [State](/usc/20/6602.md?p=2) agency, entity, or official.
