# §6061. School prayer


No funds authorized to be appropriated under this chapter may be used by any [State](/usc/20/5802.md?p=a-13) or [local educational agency](/usc/20/5802.md?p=a-6) to adopt policies that prevent voluntary prayer and meditation in [public](/usc/20/5802.md?p=a-3) [schools](/usc/20/5802.md?p=a-11).
