# §3510. Transitional provisions


With the consent of the appropriate [department](/usc/20/3404.md?p=1) or agency head concerned, the [Secretary](/usc/20/3404.md?p=2) is authorized to utilize the services of such officers, employees, and other personnel of the [departments](/usc/20/3404.md?p=1) and agencies from which [functions](/usc/20/3404.md?p=4) or [offices](/usc/20/3404.md?p=7) have been transferred to the [Secretary](/usc/20/3404.md?p=2) or the [Department](/usc/20/3404.md?p=1), and funds appropriated to such [functions](/usc/20/3404.md?p=4) or [offices](/usc/20/3404.md?p=7) for such period of time as may reasonably be needed to facilitate the orderly implementation of this chapter.
