# §3507. Existing references to transferor officials or bodies deemed references to transferee officials or bodies


With respect to any [function](/usc/20/3404.md?p=4) transferred by this chapter and exercised on or after May 4, 1980, reference in any other Federal law to any [department](/usc/20/3404.md?p=1), commission, or agency or any officer or [office](/usc/20/3404.md?p=7) the [functions](/usc/20/3404.md?p=4) of which are so transferred shall be deemed to refer to the [Secretary](/usc/20/3404.md?p=2), other official, or component of the [Department](/usc/20/3404.md?p=1) to which this chapter transfers such [functions](/usc/20/3404.md?p=4).
