# §3476. Regional and field offices


The [Secretary](/usc/20/3404.md?p=2) is authorized to establish, alter, discontinue, or maintain such regional or other field [offices](/usc/20/3404.md?p=7) as the [Secretary](/usc/20/3404.md?p=2) may find necessary or appropriate to perform [functions](/usc/20/3404.md?p=4) of the [Secretary](/usc/20/3404.md?p=2) or the [Department](/usc/20/3404.md?p=1).
