# §1140o. Authorization of appropriations

- (a) **In general—** There are authorized to be appropriated to carry out this subpart such sums as may be necessary for fiscal year 2009 and each of the five succeeding fiscal years.
- (b) **Priority—** For the first fiscal year for which funds are made available under this section, the [Secretary](/usc/20/1003.md?p=17) shall give priority to allocating [funding](/usc/20/1066a.md?p=4) for the purposes of [section 1140l](/usc/20/1140l.md) of this title.
