# §1011l. Diploma mills

- (a) **Information to the public—** The [Secretary](/usc/20/1003.md?p=17) shall maintain information and resources on the [Department](/usc/20/1003.md?p=4)’s website to assist students, families, and employers in understanding what a [diploma mill](/usc/20/1003.md?p=5) is and how to identify and avoid [diploma mills](/usc/20/1003.md?p=5).
- (b) **Collaboration—** The [Secretary](/usc/20/1003.md?p=17) shall continue to collaborate with the United States Postal Service, the Federal Trade Commission, the [Department](/usc/20/1003.md?p=4) of Justice (including the Federal Bureau of Investigation), the Internal Revenue Service, and the Office of Personnel Management to maximize Federal efforts to—
  - (1) prevent, identify, and prosecute [diploma mills](/usc/20/1003.md?p=5); and
  - (2) broadly disseminate to the public information about [diploma mills](/usc/20/1003.md?p=5), and resources to identify [diploma mills](/usc/20/1003.md?p=5).
