# §4916. Definitions


As used in sections [4914](/usc/2/4914.md) to 4916 of this title, the term—

- (1) “academic year” means a regular school year, consisting of two semesters;
- (2) “page” means a page of the House of Representatives, but such term does not include a full time, permanent [employee](/usc/2/4558.md?p=2) of the House of Representatives with supervisory responsibility for pages; and
- (3) “congressional page” means a [page](#2) of the House of Representatives or the Senate.
