# §2261. Transfer date


In this subchapter, the term “transfer date” means the date occurring on the first day of the first pay period (applicable to [employees](/usc/2/4558.md?p=2) transferred under [section 2241 of this title](/usc/2/2241.md)) occurring on or after 30 days after October 20, 2008.
