# §2202. Designation and naming within the Capitol Visitor Center

- (a) **In general—** Except as provided under [subsection (b)](#b), no part of the Capitol Visitor Center may be designated or named without the approval of—
  - (1) not less than ¾ of all [members](/usc/2/4556.md?p=2) on the Capitol Preservation Commission who are [members](/usc/2/4556.md?p=2) of the Democratic party; and
  - (2) not less than ¾ of all [members](/usc/2/4556.md?p=2) on the Capitol Preservation Commission who are [members](/usc/2/4556.md?p=2) of the Republican party.
- (b) **Exception—** [Subsection (a)](#a) shall not apply to any room or space under the jurisdiction of the Senate or the House of Representatives.
