# §1845. Effect on existing law

- (a) All provisions of law inconsistent with sections [1841](/usc/2/1841.md) to [1846](/usc/2/1846.md) of this title are hereby superseded to the extent of the inconsistency.
- (b) Sections [5504](/usc/5/5504.md) and [6101(a)(5)](/usc/5/6101.md?p=a-5) of title 5 shall apply to [employees](/usc/2/4558.md?p=2) of the House and Senate Restaurants who are paid at per annum rates of pay as long as such [employees](/usc/2/4558.md?p=2) are under the supervision of the Architect of the Capitol as an agent of the House or Senate, respectively, as the case may be.
