# §52. Payment of compensation and expenses


The compensation of all customs officers and employees provided for by sections [6](/usc/19/6.md), 7, 8, 13, and [51](/usc/19/51.md) of this title, and the expenses authorized by [section 48 of this title](/usc/19/48.md), shall be paid from the appropriation for the collection of the revenue from customs.
